The fifth major project in an ongoing partnership between SUM Design Studio and Advantis Credit Union, the recently completed renovation of the downtown branch reflects an ever maturing design aesthetic and understanding between the two parties.  Sweeping curves, bold splashes of warm color, and contemporary patterns in both textiles and floor coverings are all at play in this design, reflecting Advantis’ distinctive brand, as well as SUM’s own preferences for clean and modern interiors.  The space, a ground floor suite with an unconventional floor plan, suffered from a lack of light and outdated finishes.  The finished branch uses warm and cool lighting in delicate balance to wash surfaces and create a bright and inviting space for clients and employees alike.  Glass partitions and corner windows in place of opaque walls open the tight floorplan and create a feeling of expansiveness.
